How to Fix ‘Failed to Load the JNI Shared Library’

Sometimes Eclipse users face ‘Failed to load the JNI shared library’ issue when they install and run Eclipse. There are many different ways to solve this problem, and you need to follow the below-mentioned steps to fix it.

Here’s How to Fix ‘Failed to Load the JNI Shared Library’

• Editing the ‘eclipse.ini’ File

1. Go to the folder where you will get the File Explorer.

2. You can do this by going to the folder.

3. Press on the “This PC or My Computer” option.

4. This option is located on the left-hand side control panel.

5. Find the entry by going to the Start menu.

6. Click twice to launch the Local Disk.

7. This Local disk is provided on the My Computer option.

8. Go to the installation directory.

9. It is given on the Java Development Kit.

10. Once you have found the Java folder, go to the jrex.x.xx > bin.

11. Find the “jawaw.exe’ file.

12. Press on the location bar.

13. Start copying the address by going to the Clipboard.

14. The ‘x.x.xx’ shows the Java version which you have already installed.

15. Go to the installation folder where the Eclipse is saved.

16. You will get the right location once you right-click on the Eclipse shortcut.

17. Select the Open file option by going to the pop-up list.

18. You need to right-click on the file which is known as ‘eclipse.ini.’

19. Select the file for opening it with Notepad.

20. Ensure that you go to the upper side of the file.

21. Start pasting the lines so that you can solve this issue.

22. You have to change the placeholder address with the address which is given in the first section of the solution:

-vm

C:\path\to\64bit\java\bin\javaw.exe

23. Try to run the software.

24. Check whether you have fixed failed to load the JNI shared library.

Uninstall Java on your Windows 10 PC
1. Press on the Start option provided at the end left-hand side of the display.

2. Choose the Settings tab by pressing on the gear symbol.

3. This symbol is located over the Power key.

4. This Power key is located on the Start menu.

5. Choose the Apps column provided in the Settings application.

6. Choose the Java option.

7. It is located on the menu list of all the applications which is already installed.

8. Press on the Uninstall option.

9. Go through the on-screen guidelines.

Uninstall Java on old versions of Windows
• Press on the Start option.

• Choose the Control Panel option.

• This option is given on the Start menu.

• Change the View by option into the Category option.

• Choose Uninstall a Program option given below the Programs column.

• It is provided on the menu list of all the software already installed on the system.

• Press on the Uninstall option.
